Spain 1930.

A play in the round. The space was caged with spider web structures, stretching from the ceiling to the floor, employing 800m of rope. Regimentally ordered, it created a series of macramé Spanish arches. These encased the audience outside, and trapped the mourning daughter inside. The floor mirrored this macabre and disorientating mass of patterns, adhering to Lorca’s simple monochrome palette.
